Are apricots a saviour for morning sickness?

Morning sickness is one of those things that’s impossible to predict, has very little explanation around why it hits you, and can occur at any point during a pregnancy. Often, morning sickness can hit sometime within the first month of pregnancy, and can last right through to the fourth month. Sometimes it can stick around for longer, and other times it doesn’t even start until the very end of your pregnancy.

There are many different things to try to bring a bout of sickness back into line, but one in particular is the apricot! First of all, apricots as a fruit can be handy snacks when dried. And when you’re feeling nauseous you don’t want to be trying to eat a big meal. Having some dried apricots on hand to get you through can be a good trick. And they’re packed with good things like vitamin A, vitamin C, and potassium.

There’s also the amazing prunus armeniaca kernel oil (apricot kernel oil). This oil is used by many people either on its own or in different lotions and potions throughout the various stages of pregnancy. It’s included in potions that can be good as a calming mechanism. It’s used as a stretch mark calmer or preventative as well as something that can be applied to help ease some of the earlier pains of childbirth.

It’s also used in The Nude Alchemist’s Morning Sickness Slayer as a, you guessed it, morning sickness slayer! The apricot kernel oil has calming properties and can help to reduce stress levels. It’s also readily absorbed and doesn’t leave an oily residue. Morning Sickness Slayer has a roll-on applicator, and you can roll it onto the balls of your feet or other areas of your body to ease the feelings of nausea.
